G37 Coupe

Will have mixed opinions, but any ideas on making the "g" a T-top?

The removable top like a supra maybe. Its been done on a 370z and that looks good. A panoramic roof would be good also. The g37 prototype had one.

T-top and Targa top are two different things. T-top has the strip down the center after you remove the top, like the Firebirds and Camaros. Targa is like the Del Sol, Supra, and Corvette where it's completely open.

I see, said the blind lady. I thought the "t" t-top stood for targa....but I guess the term t-top is used for the shape of the roof line. yeah, I meant the latter(targa top).

Lol I'm just kidding. Honestly I think a targa top won't look bad. A t top will look idiotic though.

I agree there, mr. t.
I did ask my buddy(rs6) to try and photoshop the supra targa on my car....but he told me to not get my hopes up too high. because he just learned to photoshop the wheels.
But we'll see.

Here are the latest pics someone took. I got some shots at Z1's Znationals last year. If you do a search for 370z targa you'll find more info on other forums and who the fabricator was more than likely.

I had a '98 Supra, a car with a removable top to begin with. Without the top in place, there was flexing, creaking & shuddering over bumps & during launches... Bolt the roof back in place and all was good again...
It was absolutely amazing how the structure of the roof was so vital to the overall rigidity of the car. The negative aspects were compounded with the addition of HKS coilovers, a firmer feel than the stock set-up.

Yeah I was going to say, the structure of the car would be lost! CaptainObvious is right (haha) this not only is the case on the Supra's but would would be the case times 10 if you were to just start cutting ours as they were not deisgned that way... I mean MAYBE not if done correctly but seems like it would be too much of a gamble with the odds against you if anyone were to try this...

For the record though: I love Targa tops and have actually considered doing this and would but I just don't think it could come out with quality maintained... I love the Supra's with it and think that our car is a better candidate the a Z as it has similar shape to a supra IMO (curves, length, roundness)...
