RWD Winter G's

How many of you guys who have RWD Gs and drive in the winter put sand bags in the trunk?
If you how many lbs do you put back there? I was thinking 200 should be good enough. Just want to hear what you think.

I put about 150 in the back free weights, 200 should do for sure.

I don't have any weight in the trunk and it's fine.

A full tank of gas helps as well (I use Blizzak LM60's)

It never hurts to have a couple sacks. At least one could be used to put under the wheels if you get stuck, so you would want some additional amount to keep the weight after you spread the traction assist agent.

This thread gives me a reason to pause and be thankful for moving to a relatively snow free location.

Happy New Year.

+1, same here. That's the reason I bought the snows. If I owned a truck which I don't then I would consider sand bags.

Yeah I have the LM60s too. I guess I will see how it works without weight, if I need it I can always go to HomeDepot or Lowes and pick some up.

nothing in the trunk but on snow tires (dunlop wintersport m3/blizak lm25) and 6mt

it still mostly out of control, but mostly due to me not being gentle enough with the throttle

SC'd G37S no weight in the back. running on lm60's ( these suck) car is ok in snow and ice but not near as good as it was with the pilot alpine i had on before . those were the best winter tires for this car IMHO.
