It was supposed to be back. If you look under the hood (but on the hood) you will see a sticker near the driver or passenger side toward the back that will state that the paint has scratch sheild on it. I think the sticker was green on the 09 but i could be wrong
Any confirmation for 2011 models. I'm at work and I can't confirm.
Just checked under the hood of my 2011 G25, the scratch shield sticker is there on sedans. Never even heard of it before, but it's nice to know that my car has a "finish that repairs itself."
In reality, how good is it? Does it prevent the swirls? How long does the scratch shield actually last?
I just checked mine...2011 G37 Auto Sport Coupe, and it has it...assembly plant "M" interestingly enough... The VIN plate seems to be held on with plastic rivets... Chop shop anyone?
From what I remember, the paint wasn't quite working right. Although it helped in some areas, it was worse in others. I think they quite for 2010 to get it right...must feel like they got it fixed in 2011?
