Was forced to test my brakes today

So I was cruising in this fairly narrow 2 lane road and there were bunch of trucks standing on the side lining up to turn into some truck depo or some crap. And then this Subaru Outback just pulls out from behind the truck line to turn into opposite direction of me. The SOB pulled out right in front of me, so I started braking fairly hard and give him a long honk thinking he would just step on the gas and complete his turn, but instead he got scared and just stopped. That forced me to slam on the brakes and come to complete stop. He then proceeded to back into into the driveway from where he was pulling out from, so he can repeat this crap with another driver.

What a moron. If it was raining it may have turned into a ultimate airbag test. But the tire squeaking and horn combo got me a lot of attention. As if I don't get any with red skyline in country where most cars are white or sliver.

So yeah, car has really good brakes... -- PASS
Driver of the Outback -- FAIL

the brakes have proved themselves a few times......very well.

Problem is knowing you can outbrake the guy ahead of you......but not knowing if the guy behind you can outbrake you

this stereotype is uncalled for. most Japanese drivers are pretty good.

my hard braking was done simultaneously with pressing on the horn and checking rear view mirror. nobody was behind me.

Ya I love the brakes. At least on the S I've never tested the regular ones, the otter day on the 101 north there was a collision and people were slowing down from like 80mph the dumb *** in front of me decided to SLAM the brakes like a football field length before everyone and we were in the fast lane, this was 7:am so I was still tired and noticed right before I was going to hit him, I slammed the brakes HARD then manuvered to the lane next to me I mean dam I was shocked how the car stopped and handled very impressing
