I hope you get everything resolved quickly and to your satisfaction.. At least you or anyone in your car didn't get hurt.
My biggest concern when I'm riding my motorcycle is morons turning left in front of me. I also cover the brakes, in my car, whenever it looks like someone might do it.
When they do it at the last second, there's no way to avoid hitting them.

Dang. Sorry man. I know the feeling. My first G37 was totalled.

Seems like you are okay and that's what matters.

Best of luck!

So, I went to the yard on Saturday to get my sunglasses (kinda surprised they were still in there). I'm pretty sure she's totaled. Airbags deployed, it appears there's some pretty serious frame damage. The front wheels are pushed into the back of the fender, radiator and battery were crushed, I even noticed ~ a half inch gap between the rear seat and side wall. The arm rest (rear) was folded and about a half inch gap there also.

My 6 year old son was in the car (back seat), my sister in law (passenger), and her friend. My son bumped his head and got a few scrapes. Sister in law suffered whiplash, one side of her face is swollen, and has a burn on her nose/cheek (from airbag?). I have whiplash, seatbelt burn, and my lower/mid back and shoulders are killing me. Feels like a was kicked by a mule. Her friend is fine.

The driver of the Honda isn't so lucky. I don't believe he was wearing a seatbelt and no airbags (obviously). He ate steering wheel and couldn't get out of the car. Cops pulled up just as I was dialing 911. I didn't feel it was appropriate for me to ask for his info. I took pics of his plates and the traffic investigators are going to mail me his info, though I seriously doubt he's insured.

He also had a young boy in the front seat who wasn't injured.

TVPostSound: That is Tampa/Chatsworth. You're correct, I was heading west on Chats, he was heading east and making a left onto Northbound Tampa. I have no clue why both cars (husband and wife) just blew through the intersection without regard for oncoming traffic (me).

You can't get by with just insurance in CA anymore (especially SoCal). I'd say that more than 50% of the cars on the road aren't insured, so "uninsured motorist" coverage is a must. I've opted for coverage on my last 5 cars. Always remember to "CYA".

I'm sure this guy is going to concoct some outrageous story and blame me, so I feel lucky that a witness stopped and gave me his contact info.

Thank god that no one was seriously injured. If something were to happen to my son...

I am extremely glad to hear that you all made it out of this safely. I hope you milk whatever you can out of that other douche. I also hope you have adequate uninsured motorist coverage. I have it, but after seeing this, you make me wonder if I should up my coverage an increment or two...

Glad it wasn't worse.

Im always westbound on Chatsworth heading for Corbin, this behaviour is very common.
In the past, this intersection used to allow left turns from east Chatsworth to north Tampa, as the westbound traffic had a red light.
Hence the new yield signs.

All my best to you, and your family.

good to hear no one was seriously hurt... I always wonder what you say to someone after he hits you like that and your son was in the car to boot. I'd find it really hard to be civil.

Why all negative remarks for other driver. I mean we don't know anything about other driver or situation he is in.
Let's not pre judge about others just looking at accident photo.
If other driver had a kid, then possibly wife at home worried too.

I am glad that you are okay. I also wish other driver well too !
