Didn't in my G, but did Inaugeral airstrip event at Zdayz in 08 with my 350zTT. Stock blocks like mine were hitting 120+ before hitting braking zones and built motors 140+ on the 3k ft runway. Most fun I ever had in my Z.

^This. They have the dragstrip event each year now. It's hella awesome!

Are there any Feds in the room ????

I'm lucky enough to have access to a 6203 ft runway whenever I want it. It's a f ing blast each time I do it. Never gets old ... cranking up the tunes and ripping into it.

Especially when it's just a bit wet - drifting on and off of taxiways. It's like having your own track. Only downside is we have to do it late at night.

I've not been able to hit the speed limiter. Even if I "roll" on to the runway at around 30mph, I still only hit about 145 mph as I pass the 1000ft remaining marker and hit the brakes.

I may be able to now with all the mods. I haven't made what we call a "FOD check" (Foreign Object Debris) on the runway since I started the mods 2 months ago. I'll post up pics of the speedo if I'm able to hit it! Should be able to after I tune, a couple of weeks from now.

where is this? Ive really wanted to do this myself since i work for the Gov't as an air traffic controller, theres an 6000 ft runway right next to my center but i would love to go to JFK and run down 13/31 which is now just over 14,500 feet and 200 or 250 feet wide. plenty of space to play but jfk NEVER stops moving traffic

I actually got to drive on a runway a couple years ago. It was at an abandoned airstrip in CT for training (Like an autocross course). Didn't get to drive the G though, only crown vics. Started snowing during my final test runs. It was a friggin blast.

the closest thing i have had to driving on a runway is accelerating out of a tollbooth on the tollway. wooohoo that is such a blast in the G. it pulls so hard all the way up to 100mph.

A couple of years ago at Brooks AFB, they had no planes and the runways were part of the road in some areas. Many have raced on it. But then they shutdown the base and now theres a Walmart and hospital on the old runway.
