I'm willing to bet it started as a residential burglary and they got the key from the inside of the house or the garage.

That's true, the vid did say they were trying to break in. I guess they were successful (note to self, hide keys better).

Still can't believe the cop cars couldn't keep up....LOL

I didn't see the video, but I really can't imagine any police car keeping up with anything over 250hp in a chase like described.

Really?? I thought police cars were souped up to like almost 300 hp and had suspension tweaks?? Like, they're not the regular Fords and whatnot from the showrooms.

Here's some fun info:

The 2006–present Police Interceptors equipped with a 3.55:1 rear axle ratio from the factory are electronically limited to 120 mph (193 km/h) due to the lower driveline-critical vehicle speed, while the Police Interceptors equipped with a 3.27:1 rear axle ratio have generally been limited to approximately 135 mph (217 km/h). This compares to 110 mph (177 km/h) for the "civilian" model.
LOL... 135 max? Easy peasy.

A little more:

Ford used an aluminum metal matrix composite driveshaft for the 1993–2005 Police Interceptors as a measure to allow safe operation at over 150 mph (241 km/h), but it was more expensive than the regular aluminum driveshafts. Ford reintroduced the 3.55:1 rear axle ratio in the 2006 model year Police Interceptors, and set the speed limiter at 120 mph (193 km/h) to reduce the risk of driveline failure.

Police Interceptors also have a reinforced frame and body mounts, an aluminum drive shaft (aluminum metal matrix composite for the 1999–early 2001 model years), and an optional limited slip rear differential.
[edit] Body and chassis

Another difference is Ford's "severe duty" shock absorbers that offer a stiffer ride than the standard Crown Victoria. They also have black steel wheels with stainless steel or chromed plastic hubcaps.

All Police Interceptors also come with T-409 stainless steel dual exhaust systems without resonators. (lol @ the cops pulling people over for exhausts) Standard Crown Victorias come with a stainless steel single exhaust system, while the Handling and Performance Package and LX Sport-equipped Crown Victorias have the same exhaust system as the Police Interceptor, with the resonators. The resonators further reduce noise, vibration, and harshness without adding any restriction to the exhaust system. Police Interceptors have higher-rate coil springs, approximately 0.8 inches (20.3 mm) of additional ground clearance, and thinner rear antiroll bars (shared with the LX Sport) than the Handling and Performance Package Crown Victorias; the base Crown Victoria does not have a rear antiroll bar.

The 2009-2011 Impala's though are 230hp V6's that'll do 140mph. A little harder for us to outrun.

Dude what do you mean you don't want it anymore.

G is suppose to be driven like you stole it. In this case, they really did that.

I had no idea....that's kind of pathetic actually lol. Any entry luxury brand car can basically outrun them.

I'll bet the VDC had something to do with them not losing control of the car.

Anyone ever hear about a case involving cops using stop sticks only to find out the runaway car has run flat tires? If it hasn't happened already, it's bound to someday.

cop cars are crap. No offense to any officer who drives one,but you also need the ball s of steel to even go 140.
been there done that, hope I don't have to again.
now a beefed up charger, I'd call it a wrap.
ny has some with srt8 motors/drivetrain.
they would eat you on top end.

Wait... they don't have any "Ghetto Birds" in FL..?
As soon as a hint of a stolen car pursuit call comes into LAPD they launch Air 10 (The Ghetto Bird) and at that point those fools ain't gettin' away..especially in shiny White G.
Not to mention ALL the local media start tracking the chase in Choppers with Hi Def cameras too.

Sad to say but LA TV stations love a high speed freeway pursuit..it's like a free live action movie.

Unlocked speed limit and no cop car is going to catch up with that.
