Gertrude got broken into!

**** UPDATED w/ PICS on pg. 2 ****

My worst nightmare happened last night.

I spent the night at my GF's house and some fu*kers broke into my car.
They bashed the driver side window and dented the area above the door handle. They also tried to pry the door apart because there's a flared gap between the outside of the door and the inside panel where the window glass used to be.

What makes it worst is that these fu*kers probably cost more damage to the car than the amount they stole, which was a few shirts, hats, 2 gym shoes and $35 in cash.

F*CK!!!! . . . . . . I need to vent!!

I'm going to my insurance company tomorrow and see what they can do.

It looks like I'll need a new driver side door assembly and the window. I hope thats what the estimator says as well.

Anybody have any tips on whats the best way to handle this?

I have the stock alarm and neighbors said they did hear it go off for a few seconds... They assumed it was a false alarm. I didn;t hear it from where I was, probably because we were watching movies around that time and we was in a room towards the back of the house.

Yeah, Sam... I didn't think these bastards would be so stupid and ballsy. They're probably some crack addict in need of quick cash.

they mustve thought with a nice car like yours there'd be more than $35... lol... that's not funny, actually.

growing up in nyc, i would commonly see cars with a big note on the window, "nothing valuable inside" or "no car radio..."

Dude...NEVER EVER leave anything in plain sight inside your car...you are just begging for an idiots attention.

Sorry to hear about your loss, I hope everything works out for you. Let us know the upside once the insurance fixes you up.

But i gotta agree with Trincap...Gertrude?????

Yea so the question is...
What did you leave in view for the to want to steal? If nothing was visible in the car to steal they would have passed it right up and gone on to the next...

Good question.

I have dark tint and put my windshield sun visor on when I parked. So you would need to actually shine a flashlight inside to see into it. I left a couple of shirts, some baseball hats, and 2 pairs of shoes in the passenger side.
