man that's easy. From stop, DS mode, VDC off, then slam on the gas. i tried it before and it works lulz..

i just turn vdc off, put the car in first and gas away. pretty easy for me to burn rubber ..even on yoko s drives.

 

One night I had a giant empty parking lot, turned vdc, DS, punched it and...nothing. Just a hard acceleration. It seems I'm better at breaking the tires loose when I'm not trying to.

It's seems a lot easier for me to burn out when in manual mode, let off the brake in 1st, get on the gas to about 3-4k and then floor it.

 

Yeah, it's pretty easy. Just turn off VDC and floor the gas.

Some people say their 08s peel out like there is no tomorrow, but this is highly doubtful. I have test driven an 08 5at coupe which absolutely could not even squeek a tire. The 09s+ are suppsedly geared a little more aggresively, but in all the videos out there (youtube etc) these cars just do not peel out off the line in automatic. PERIOD. Someone please prove me wrong... lol

Having said that, I know for a fact that even the AWD cars 09+ chirp second gear from time to time. When I am alone in the car with no extra weight on some types of road surface it will just do it on its own, I don't need to do anything other than be on the throttle at 1-2 shift speeds.

 

That's funny cause I have an 08 5AT and it seems that my tires always squeal under normal (to me) acceleration.... With plenty of treadlife left on the rears...

Simply press the gas a little harder and it will do it VDC or not... I've only turned it off a couple of times.. Maybe it's my driving idk lol

 

Yeah, same here, it's really easy to break the rear end lose with VDC off.

 

I'm pretty sure a lot of you are having problems because the throttle is programmed not to go to 100% immediately in lower gears. Infiniti did it for driveability and less jerkiness. I'm sure someone can chime in that knows more about it than I do. You can have it removed with a tune.

 

That would be perfect: when the tranny in in Auto, have an economy mode. Then, when in manual mode, it goes sporty. I remember when I got to test drive an auto 2004 M3. That puppy was smooth as silk in A, then when you threw it into M, it was like driving a lambo. Floor it and the wheels would squeal.

Any way to program the G like this? I know the car has the power, the issue is the ECU allowing it... Like, recognizing a to the floor stomp, and releasing the clutch quickly to acheive a peel.

Is there any tuning or electronic way to program the ECU to actually open the throttle 100% when I floor the pedal?

Damnit, none of this would be a problem if I had just gotten the manual.

This is one of the funniest threads I have ever read on a car forum!

In an auto, dont forget to crank the steering wheel before you launch to lighten the rear end. The rear tires will light up like a Christmas tree. If anyone needs help, I am available for burn out instruction (in your car) for a nominal fee...
