want the doors to lock when I walk away...
I've done some searches here, and I'm guessing there is no way to do this either stock or aftermarket. But...
I have a 2009 G37x coupe with all packages. I'd like the doors to lock behind me automatically when I exit the car (turned off) and walk away. Impossible?

YES that would be awesome
and i also don't want it to unlock itself because the key in my pocket accidentally gets pressed because i do a squat inside my house!!!
i triggered the alarm the other day and i was like WTF nobody is there and then realized i was laying on my key.

the car can already detect when the key is no longer available....so basically what needs to be done is send a signal to the locking solenoid to lock the car at that event. im sure KP can work on something like that....depends if they can sell enough to make it worth their time. I think manufactures dont include it because its a safety issue.....incase people get locked and trapped in the car.
my jag doesnt auto lock but will automatically set the alarm, so the alarm will go off if someone opens the door

I certainly wouldn’t want that feature for my car. I park it in the safety of my garage at night and just get in each morning. Having to unlock it would be an unnecessary extra step. Besides, while in a public place locking it with the fob or door button is a quick reminder that I have the fob in my possession. And there are other situations to consider like leaving the car for service. The mechanic would be easily annoyed if he had to find the fob and unlock it multiple times.
I would like my car to grow jet engines and fly to a time era of my choosing...can we figure out a way for that to work too?
what about the last item in this list though?
There was a thread at one time that listed a bunch of different customizable options you could change. This covered things such as how long your headlights would stay on after you turned off the car. I can't find the thread however but I will keep looking.
-edit- I found this one.
