Unbelievable. I hope they find this guy - dude probably ran off because of other unpaid infractions/violations linked to his car. Good luck with the search and repairs!

Damn! **** like this never happens in Japan.
Hope they get the a-hole, although it's gonna be extremely hard to track him down.

Man, sorry to hear this. That dealer is 10 minutes away from where I live. Crest is a good dealer and I am glad to hear they are helping you. They took good care of my mom's FX for several years.

I agree, that d-bag will get his, just a matter of when. Glad your damage wasn't worse.

yeah Crest was really good to me today. They'll certainly get my business again when I'm in the area. Hopefully I'll have an update from the police at some point tomorrow or the next day, and then I'll be sure to post it on here.

Even with the scrapes on the car, all the guys at the dealership were complimenting it which was awesome. I saw some great looking Gs in the service line, and was glad to be included it that, scrapes and all!

Just wanted to say, I feel your pain. I didn't suffer a hit & run but have been the victim of insurance fraud (eg someone hit me, apologized, then calls insurance claiming I hit them). Due to the fact insurer said there was no way to prove either her nor me was lying, it was ruled 50/50.

We had someone try to do that to our family once, now no matter what the damage, we involve the police. without the police report, like you said, it's hard to prove either way.

okay i need some advice. is there any reason that my door should not be able to be fixed completely, i mean straight. i got the car back today and it looks like trash in my opinion from the rear and front. i can obviously tell there was damage and it wasnt fixed right. they should have gotten it straight, shouldnt they?

oh and on another note: the police officer went back to the dealership later that afternoon to look into it further. they are 90% sure they know who did it. they got his name and where he lives, they're just waiting on him to come back for another job interview i believe, and when they do. they're going to check his tahoe.
