I hurt my G last night...

Lesson learned. Make sure your car is in gear and the parking brake is up before you walk out.

So I was in a parking structure and got out of my car thinking it was in 1st. Then my friend who's in the car says "oh my god" and I turn around to see my G rolling backwards. First off, I was thinking wtf is this garage not level or what? It was rolling backward pretty quick, so I busted a James Bond and jumped into the car. Unfortunately, instead of slamming on the brake, I accidentally slammed on the clutch which did nothing lol. So my car door that was open hit a pillar, which pushed the door out beyond the swinging plane. Heard a crunch and here's the result.

Couldn't even close the door anymore, otherwise I would've driven it back to Riverside. So now my car is sitting in a tow yard somewhere and will be delivered for repair tomorrow morning. I should post this on FML.

Why wouldn't your friend pull the e-brake if they're in the car?

They were pretty drunk, so I don't think it crossed their minds. Plus a girl was in my front seat...although she has driven my car before so I suppose she should've thought of that lol

sorry for your loss, but at least it's temporary - she'll be looking good as new again eventually (I assume you'll get it fixed!). That definitely bites, though.

Yah it was in Irvine. Going through insurance so it'll be $500 deductible. Oh well, can't do anything about it now. I just hope I get it back soon.

Damn that same thing happened to my old Eclipse except the door hit another car and bent backwards like yours. I was pissed. Sorry about your luck.
