having trouble finding out the differences between semi gloss and matte black, planning to powdercoat my stockies, pictures of the differences would be really helpful!

Well, I'd say semi-gloss is somewhat shiny, but not nearly as much as regular gloss black. Matte black is definitely much closer to flat black and will not have much of a shine to it at all.

My mailbox is matte black. So is the Weber grille on my back deck. I wouldn't want wheels that looked like that, but that's just my own personal opinion.

Matte black looks more dull. Semi-gloss is a satin finish that has a sheen to it.
