And he was saying I can cancel this at any time after the first 60 days. I will cancel it!

Like the above posts, a lot of these warranty places are pure BS, if you dont follow some super strict maintenance plan, mods, etc etc they'll void you in a second. Its usually in the fine print, if the fine print is even printed.

However, there are some good ones out there, i cant remember the name of the company the dealer i bought my car from recommended.

I bought one a long while back in my sleep, i was working night shift and i thought it was VW calling. After talking to the dealer i found out it was fraud and took me months of fighting to get my money back. I had to cancel my credit card and everything after repeated unauthorized charges.

Cancel it ASAP, you're losing pro-rated money every day.

I believe I have 60 days to get a full refund before losing any pro-rated money.

It isn't an extra 7 years or 100,000. It extends the existing to that. So + 3 years and 40,000.

Unless I'm wrong.

You're correct, I picked up the same warranty to cover the car's electronics. A dead nav system or a failure in one of the seats would easily make this warranty a smart buy.

most of them are ripoffs - they charge you too much up front and then it's like pulling teeth to get a claim paid

"big fat bonus"? - Despite the common belief that car salespeople make a ton of money on everything that is purchased, there is not that much money to be made on a service contract. Depending on the state that is it purchased a salesperson might be lucky to get an extra $25.

^^if you are addressing my comment, I am just basing it off of personal experience. I sold Nissans for about 7 months back in 2004 and remember specifically making an extra $300 if the f & i person was able to sell an extended warranty. window etching was an extra $25, sealant was an extra $25, lo-jack was an extra $100 in commission. if i sold just the car at invoice, i made a flat $100 and hoped to make the extra money off of the add-ons. maybe times have changed...no offense to any cars salespersons on here.

also, the commission/bonus to the salesperson may be minimal, but there is a ton of profit for warranties sold at full sticker.

-"And he was saying I can cancel this at any time after the first 60 days. I will cancel it!"

I thought it was just the opposite, you can cancel for a full refund in the first 30 days etc...???
