Question Some days my G drives better than others....

Anyone notice some days your G is on fire, like no lag at all just love it to death then the next its kinda laggy fa"gy?
Maybe its the gas grade im using, i go between 89,91,93 but ive found that sometimes SUNOCOS 93 feels the same as SHELLS 89 grade
Maybe its just me!

Insight or similar experiences thanksDOMO

You'll want to use at least 91 at all times IMO.

Might be why your car is running funny at times

Our cars do love cool weather tho thats for sure.

+1 for cool weather. I bet the G is a second faster through the 1/4 at 40 degrees than at 90...

Why aren't you sticking with one grade of gas?

VHR motor isn't friendly with gas less than 91 octane. Stay with it.

I've experienced the cooler temp/better performance as well..Hmm..Wonder if installing a CAI and heavy duty oil cooler would give me that added perf in warm weather???

OP, get 91 or higher octane regardless of where you pump at, don't go by the "feel" of it.

I have those days too. And I always use premium gas. I'm pretty sure it's the wind and temperature.

Speaking of low octane, just come back from Europe where my friends making fun of us driving on 93. Most on 95/98 there and per their words difference is huge. Don't get cheap, use good/best gasoline on G. No point to me of spending such $ on mods as you and use 91.

Yeah but their gas costs an arm & a leg, way more expensive than what we pay in the US & Canada

Correct, I am talking about friends driving MB and BMW there in Europe. Somehow they are respecting what they are driving even with much more expensive gas price tags.

Saving on gas - > get Toyota Prius!!!!
