What's this plastic piece from?

My friend was pulling on the bottom plastic trim piece trying to get the thigh part to pull out. He yanked it hard enough to pull out the trim piece and break one of the attachment clip things. It still holds on tight so I'm not that concerned, though I found this piece right by it.

I can't figure out what it goes to, and I couldn't find anything on the drivers side that was the same. Has anyone seen this?

Rectabular extrusion bracket..........

Did you try looking? If you cant see, get a mirror. I'm sure you can figure it out. You Can Do It!

You have to have thick skin to hang in here when you come up with an odd question.

Well, I don't think it goes under there. Was hoping someone would recognize it from somewhere else.

It looks like a plug would go through it along with some wires. I've looked at mine and under G37S w/ sport seats but cannot find this specific piece under the seats.

Maybe the glove box area? I was also thinking the door, but I looked through the DIY for removing the door and didn't see it there in any pictures.

I can tell you're getting a little sensitive about this, but if I were you I'd just wedge my head in there with a flashlight and figure out where the piece came from. That will be much quicker than waiting on a reply from someone else with a friend that breaks ****.

Alternatively, have him "adjust" your driver's seat and see if he can reproduce the destruction.

**UPDATE** I just did what you should have done in the first place, and found visible plastic clips on the bottom sides of the thigh extension piece. I can't tell for sure if they're the same clips - I'm not willing to rip my seat apart to help a brotha out - but look at both sides of the extension piece. There should be a plastic clip on each side on the bottom. After seeing this, I'm now even more baffled at how someone could break it.

I'm not trying to be sensitive. The useless replies were just a waste of time.

I'm convinced that the piece isn't from under the seat--there's no where for it to go. It just showed up after this incident, and I don't know if it's related to it.

What do you mean, "what I should have done in the first place" ?? I wouldn't have come to the forums without first looking everywhere in, around, and underneath the seat.

The clips on that trim piece are black and go into a metal bar that runs along the front seat, underneath the thigh extension. They can be broken if someone is grabbing on it from above thinking it's the thigh extender lever. He was yanking on it and I was driving so I couldn't tell him he was yanking on the wrong thing. I'm not really concerned about this trim piece as it still sits securely with the other clip and the right side trim piece that overlaps it.
I'm just trying to figure out where the hell the pictured item came from!

OP, my apologies if my reply rubbed ya the wrong way. Unfortunately, BlackBetty's right. We get a little comical when we don't know the answer. Loosen up a little bit and you'll find this forum a little more helpful than just a waste of your time.
