What exactly is a "quick start"

I'm just reading the proper break-in procedures in the manual and was wondering what they mean by "quick start". Does they mean do not dump the clutch?

Not sure exactly without the context since I don't have my manual near me, but likely means one of two things...

1) You shouldn't gun it off the line during break-in.
2) You should allow the car a chance to warm-up and RPMs drop prior to driving.

Yes. It means to drive like you are paying $50/gallon for gasoline. Ease off the clutch onto the gas and accelerate smoothly and slowly instead of like there's a light tree in front of you.

I always thought of a quick start as not letting your oil get up to temp before driving. I would atleast let it warm up above 2 notches before driving on the highway.
