Best way to launch the G37x?

1. Traction on or off?
2. Best rpm to stall?
3. Do you leave it in auto or automanual.

Just curious.

Haha jk, umm traction controll off, and extend the rpm's to bout 6-7k? Im pretty sure that would be ur best attempt.. unless im wrong so tiptronics mode or automanual mode would be ur best option

^ I am talking about stalling. Do you know what this means?

It's when you hold the brake, rev the rpms to about 2k and when the light goes green, mash the gas. If you go higher you may spin off the line. If you don't stall enough, it won't give you the most punch off the line. Just looking for the recommended mark. In my Acura, it was around 2-2.5k.

I'd say 2-2.5k would probably be good in the G too. I think I've heard some people say 3k but I wouldn't want to risk it on the trans.

^Figured as much. I havent touched the traction button yet (just bought new 2 weeks ago) but I'm pretty sure the car will hook because of the AWD. Guess I'll try different scenarios to see what works best.

Then again, some people have had the best luck just leaving it idle and just punching it.

It's not about risking the tranny as much as the ECU cutting fuel as soon as it detects some slip even when your VDC off.

I was practicing launching my car yesterday with tip tronic..

I floor on the gas, release the gas & shift up, back to flooring the gas, when ready to shift again, release the gas & **** up again. etc. etc.

i believe it is better to do this method than shifting when your flooring the gas.. RPM's shoot way up.

it gives off better speed acceleration, and does not red line.
