I hear ya. Had to move it for the pool man, didn't want him wheeling his cart of stuff past it.

jleddo- it would rain within a day of me picking it up. I already have to take it for a wash and wax.

John- I'm not picking on you. You said they're phasing out the Armada, but "redesigning" the QX. I'm just pointing out that the Armada is the QX, so...

My kid wanted to add this guy.

Right, the Armada will no longer exist but the QX will. If you go into a Nissan dealership in 2012 and ask to see a new Armada they'll tell you that vehicle is no longer made. If you go into an Infiniti dealership and ask to see a new QX56 they'll show you a new QX56.

It's just names and badges. Manufacturers will phase out a name and keep the vehicle around (like when Ford switched the name of the Five Hundred to Taurus) or they'll put an exisiting name onto a new vehicle (like Infiniti is doing with the QX56).

Who cares? The cars already bought. As long as he's happy that's all that matters.

Congratulations on the new purchase, I'm sure you're going to be thrilled as much as I was when I first bought my car!

I am simply discussing the concept of what "phased out" means with regards to manufacturers putting existing car names onto new vehicles.

I agree with Vasher. The Patrol is fugly and in no way should be considered an evolution of the current QX. I've always liked the QX/Armada and would gladly get an 09/10 model over the new one coming out...

It's been a long time coming, I'm so f'ing stoked.

I'll post pics of that sexy b!tch later today.
Hmmm, Journey with those options is $2,000 more than Sport 6MT with same options.

I guess you pay the premium for the Auto transmission, or do you get more than that?
I am asking because I heard that Infiniti was jacking up $2,500 for the Manual transmission models... just a rumor?

Welcome and congrats. Vasher! The people at Infiniti of South Bay are pretty hard to negotiate with. You got a pretty damn good deal on the coupe!

This made me curious, so I built a 6mt coupe on Infiniti's site. I noticed there isn't a premium package available for it, but some of the premium items were already included in the 6mt. I didn't see the sunroof though. (?)

B-man - Fritz, Internet/Fleet manager (or so I heard).

Addict - I was searching local dealers inventory and calling anyone (ask for the Internet/fleet manager) that had a car with a price that was close to the options I wanted (if the msrp wasn't high enough I knew it didn't have all the options I wanted). I had the invoice info, incentives, and finance rates, so I knew what I wanted. South Bay gave me the the quickest answer and best price. The car was mine ~10 minutes after I made the call. She was washed and waiting for me the next morning.

Don't go to the dealer before the deal is done (other than test drives). It's so much easier over the phone. Email doesn't work, too many generic emails and slow to respond.
