Is there a Fire Extinguisher Mount for the G available?

I also posted on the sedan page but not a lot of traffic for this kind of thing over there so I thought best to post here as well....

Anyone install a Fire Extinguisher in their G (FYI, I have a sedan)? I'm looking to mount it within reach of the driver's seat. Ideally it would be mounted to the passenger seat rails (i.e. lean over and grab it).

Does anyone make a bracket that can piggyback on the seat mounts?

Are there any other slick ways to do this?<!-- google_ad_section_end --> <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

Exactly how modified is your G to require a fire extinguisher? Nitrous? Boost?

Your stock G isn't going to catch on fire.

Having it visible with a stock car is going to be gay as hell. If you really wanna rice it up, mount one on your A-pillar.

so if his car lights on fire (obviously by accident) he can extinguish the fire? youd be surprised in every european country it is mandatory to have one.. I also believe one is mandatory in Limousines too.

It is mandatory in Kuwait too. You can remove it if you want, but the dealers must install them in every car they sell.
I saw a new S class about a week ago burn down on the side of the road and it wasn't an accident. It just went up in flames for some stupid reason.

^ war zones don't count. never know when a missle may hit your car.

In all seriousness, I never thought modern, unmodified cars catching on fire was an issue.

My cars always have been and always will be the furthest things from rice.

Let's leave the subjective $0.02 out of the thread and answer the original Q please.

Thanks.

No there is no aftermarket special G fire Extinguisher mount. You would have to fabricate one or use the mount it comes with. I'm sure there are some fire extinguishers specially designed for cars.

My only question is why would you want a fire extinguisher inside your car mounted.? I would maybe put it in the trunk on one of the wheel wells but in the car?

You live in a different country or war zone?

Because some people require you too.

I think I have my answer. Two posts with 17 responses and no leads. I think that means there's nothing available. If my garage wasn't so small and it wasn't so cold out I probably would have just made my own already.

FWIW this is what I was hoping might be available so I don't have to fab my own. Brey-Krause R-2016 Fire Extinguisher Mount - Power Seat 74-Later 944 & 911

Naa OP. I understand that some companies or laws say you should have one but in the car and not in the trunk is a bit stupid. That's like having your tire changing gear on the back seat.

Hey, I always keep a tire iron in the back seat of my car. You know, just in case "something" comes up.
