In this pic:

What is with the cut out part in the mesh section of the lower bumper? Is that normal?

Normal if you have the technology package. I believe that cut out is for the ICC.

Yeah it's for the ICC sensor.

The rocket launcher is a aftermarket option that integrates with the laser in the tech package.

I heard somewhere that you can get an insert for both that cutout as well as the recovery hook cutout that makes the grille look solid.

1. Will this interfere with ICC?
2. Where can I get it?

1. Neither ICC nor preview braking will work if you cover that up.
2. You cant get a cover for it anywhere that I'm aware of.
3. You should have gotten the cover for the tow hook hole with the new car, call your dealership.

This is an expensive asset and helps distinguish your G from others. Think of it as a status symbol.

I will have to call the dealership on point number three.

I should correct 1 and 2 - i thought there was a grill insert - it sounds like someone replaced their grill a solid one and the system worked as expected or something? I didn't mean to say cover it completely, i just want the grill to look like one piece of mesh

Actually I think I too remember someone posting that they'd installed the regular grill as well and reporting that it worked fine. I'm kind of doubtful though, as my car is dirty now and the ICC cuts out occasionally just from that. But maybe.

I've had my ICC cut out just from heavy fog (granted it was fog that I could only see about 50' in) as well as, like betty said, I've had it cut out and the screen display "clean sensor" but I would be very doubtful that a full grille would have no effect on it. If you try it make sure to let us know the results
