Exclamation Noise in Driver Door

I just bought a new G 37 coupe about 3 weeks ago and I absolutely love it. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

I only have one problem and it is driving me nuts. Every time I hit the smallest bump in the road while driving I hear a clinging noise coming from my driver door. It sounds like metal is moving around in my door every time I hit a bump.<o></o>

Has anyone ever had a problem like this?<o></o>

I had that issue and it drove me nuts. The noise was caused by the sloppy workmanship of window tinting process.

The dealer fixed it by tightening up a retaining clip inside the door panel. No big deal.<O</O

Check the passenger seat belt position. I had that same noise and so did others and it was traced to the passenger belt. It may sound like it's coming from your door, but sounds inside of a car are difficult to pinpoint. Worth a look, before you go tearing into your door....

Well I got it fixed this past weekend.

Infiniti said there were 2 screws used for holding the door panel on that had not been fully tightened. Sounds fishy but the rattle is gone.

Go Jets!!!!

Thank you for this thread!!! I just had my car tinted and ever since that day, I hear that noise you are talking about. It sounds like there's a little rock/pebble stuck in between metal and it annoys the crap out of me when I'm driving! Do you guys think it's OK to try to fix this by myself? If it is easy then I'd fix it myself rather then scheduling an appointment with Infiniti and then drive there and then pick it up the car later. Rather save the hassle.

Why bother? You car is under warranty. Get the dealer to look after it.

You may wait unitl the next oil change and do it at the same time.
