So, last nigh 31st of October im driving all of a sudden half way to Santa Barbra my car just starts to rev, i drive an automatic 08 g37 so i slow down stop tryna figure out what it was and i started drivin off i drove and once i hit 40 hit started reving i put it on tip and it work better but only on 3rd gear if i hit 4th it reved again wtf is up?

 

maybe it is ghosts, I mean it was Halloween after all

If this really happened, I would be pretty concerned about the car gaining speed with no signal from your foot to do so, try resetting the ECU, as our cars are not directly connected via a cable.... if it happens again I would take it to infiniti, that is a real dangerous thing to have happening

 

it hasnt gotten better it just like i have 2 put it on 3rd and drive works fine then if i put it on 4th if i go over 4000 rpm itll just shoot up and if i put it on 5 itll shoot

 

is the car accelerating when this happens or is the torque converter disengaging and you are just revving

 

That's one of the longest run-on sentences I've ever seen in my life.
