wow suck!!!! it looks like total. it better to be totaled than fix it cuz it wont be same as new. get another g37

 

Went to the lot where the car is at but it was closed so took a few pics from quite far back. The front windshield is cracked in driver side. The two "snake bites" you see on bottom of bumper are from the truck, the one on the left is where the trailer hitch went through, so although damage doesn't look bad, there is quite a bit of damage underneath and behind the bumper.

Feel like I lost a wrestling match with a bear today, since I saw the car coming i grabbed onto the steering wheel for dear life and my forearms and grip are a joke today, wife's welt on the forehead is blooming nicely too. Still counting our lucky stars!

The side curtain bags did not deploy, i think those only go of on a side impact.

 

So called State Farm today and first was going to have it towed to an State Farm recommended collision center, but changed my mind and decided to go to the Infiniti dealership collision center which is not on the State Farm list. Thought they would know a thing or two about the G... Any thoughts here?

Also they mentioned that once the liability is determined (the lady that smacked us got a careless driving charge) I could choose to deal with the other company (Geico) and bypass State Farm, but thinking Geico isn't looking out for my interests here so it doesn't sound like a good idea. Any thoughts on this subject?

Yup, I love(ed) my G, looking at how it takes a beating also makes me feel pretty good about being relatively safe... It was a toss up between the 370 and the G in January when I was buying, wondering how the 370 would look after this hit...

BTW/ was due for my 6000 service next week... I guess I saved 50 bucks! LOL!

You should deal strictly with the person who's at fault insurance company. If you file a claim with yours, your insurance will go up. Geico should do good by you but they will probably drop the lady that hit you. I know from first hand as we were hit (not the G) and my State Farm rep said they would be glad to help but it would go on my record with State Farm and you really don't want to do that. The only time you would involve your insurance company is if you were at fault, it was a hit & run, or the person at fault didn't have insurance.

 

That's pretty messed up... was it a write off?

yup, it was considered totaled...
since the Z was only 18 days old... there was zero percent depreciation
so the guy got a new Z that week

 

Bought mine in late January so am going to get hosed... But can't find KBB pricing on 2009 2Dr coupe.

 

yeah for some reason you can only get KBB value for the sedan and not the coupe....WTF? I mean I know we're still in 2009, but if 2010 model cars are available for purchase, I should be able to check the trade-in value of my car now.

 

most of that will buff right out. ;-)
