Angry Hit a Granite Curb

Well this is the result of a person not letting your merge in, it was either me hitting him, slamming the brakes and get rear ended or use the curb. Neither decision was made last second and this is what happened, my lane ended quickly and I ended up catching the curb (which was at least 2ft high) and completely screwed up my precious wheels, I was completely sandwiched and normally I make my way through but this SOB was not having it, not to mention the douche behind me riding me tail. I love these wheels and have always kept them in pristine condition, and now just upon my 1 year anniversary of the car, this is what I get. The guy took off after he saw what happened so I couldn't get a plate number. Ive been looking on ebay and I see used refurbished wheels for $400 which dont look right. Next up is to call my insurance.

thankfully no one was hurt, NO BODY damage which is KEY! and no tire burst, I guess i should be appreciative of this but still you know, I dont want to cough up extra $$ for one wheel

That sucks *****. I have a Volk GTC that I just curbed in a similar situation. It made my stomach sick. It can be fixes as good as new for $100 to $150 though.

Nope. Skinned elbows don't hurt nearly as much and cost a lot less to fix.

Dang, sorry to hear man. Just follow some of these suggestions above and find a nice, reputable wheel shop that will fix it. I have heard of prices from 100-200 dollars, so make sure to ask around.

I got me previous G35 wheel fixed at this local place called rim-pro and they did an awesome job, however my only concern is paint matching, these wheels aren't silver but a gunmetalish color and I want these to match exactly..

You need a new rim. It looks like it's bent from the star. Trust me.

There's no way you can tell that by looking at a photo. To me I can see it's just the faces if te spokes that are scraped since he swiped a curb and didn't hit it. I can't say for sure either because I don't have the actual wheel to look at. Besides, even a pretty bad looking bend can be fixed to look and ride like new. I know because I had a bent wheel that looked bad and had it fixed for $135.

If I were you I'd go to a local body shop and ask for companies that refurbish wheels. I don't know how they do it. I guess its rim body work or something. Its done by machine though so there's hardly error.

You got super lucky that all you got was major curb rash. That can be fixed for $150 to $200. The Infiniti authorized body shop down here charges $175 to fix that type of damage.
