Some of you may know that Grubbs took their v2 spoiler off their website. They have had a problem with the center lifting and blocking part of the camera.

Well they have been working on a v3 spoiler, more like OEM. The new spoiler actually removes the chrome piece and screws the back up camera into the spoiler (like the OEM one). They promise the new v3 will not lift in the center anymore.

It is not finished yet, but they are sending me the first one in the next week or two. I will be sure to keep eveyone updated on the new fit and finish.

In case people dont know. With the v2 Grubbs spoiler, it actually just sits on top of the chrome spoiler.

The v3 will remove the chrome piece. Hopefully giving a much better fit.

 

Here is what I am talking about. Look closely where my back up camera is. You can see how it lifts away and doesnt want to sit flush.

I doubt it, Buckley said they are still waiting on the new v3 to come in, then it still has to be painted and mailed to me.

 

Are they going to make one without a third brake light

 

I do not know, they did with the v2, so it leads me to believe there will with the v3 as well

 

I sure hope they make one without the brake light. It would only make sense since the people buying spoilers will have the 3rd brake light in the decklid already.

 

Let's hope it is a great product this time.. Would hate for a v4..

Mine had one in the rear deck lid as well. I just disconnected the power and ran it to the spoiler. I like it better there.

 

What is their website address or an online store where they can be purchased? I did not get the factory spoiler and am looking for an alternative. I like the looks of this one.
