Everyone mods for a reason though, when you put an exhaust on and drive by not only do you wet your pants for the sexy VQ note, but you also wet panties of those being driven by haha

If you drive by with a horn sounding like a train, oh you will turn heads for sure, try lip reading what they're saying though and you'll get the picture.

I had this idea too, but I couldnt think of a good place to put the compressor since our trunks are already small and I have a sub that takes up even more room. I don't think I would be doing this in parking lots, but compared to our tiny Japanese horns, this would make a difference on the freeway.

I've seen someone in a G35 coupe use a smaller compressor tank like a NOS shaped bottle.

Have I pissed people off with my train horns? Honestly, yes but I'd use it if someone cut me off or drives like an idiot.

There are plenty of mods out there that people will be unhappy about... driving behind someone w/ test pipes and no cats with the smell, or very dark tinted tailights that causes an accident.

If you've been to NY and know how some people drive, you'll need a nice horn to use.

Just wait until they get shot.

Can these be hooked up with an activation switch or something? Keeping the stock horn to use normally, but a hidden button somewhere like a nitrous purge kit that would set these off?

I've only been on the receiving end of the horns once.... from across a parking lot at a track event. It was on a toter home with a 3-car trailer behind. Big *** truck and a big *** horn. From at least 100 yards away the thing scared the CRAP out of me! I seriously thought I was about to be run over by a train even though I knew there were no train tracks around. In retrospect I thought it was funny. Probably because I wasn't close enough for it to have hurt my ears. The videos on the web are funny but I find it useless. A simple airhorn will do the trick (sorry Kenny.... even in NYC; air horn would be enough)

Another point... everyone's always complaining as it is that the battery in the G dies quickly. Want to compound that? Add one of these train horns and you'll have to get jumped every time you want to drive somewhere!

I would never do this to my G, but I must admit, that youtube video was funny as ****! Also, I would expect those guys to get beat up or their vehicle vandalized quite often.

Another thing that really works if if the thief gets into the vehicle, there will be a high pitch frequency, a sine wave of 16 KHz to 20 KHz...that right thare can make them go deaf if they don't protect they dont protect their ears quick enough and exit the vehicle.

Kind of juvenile and bound to get you in ****, whether it be you or your car getting vandalized.

It did remind me though of the alarm in my old car. I replaced the siren with an ambulance siren and man did that thing scream.

It was wired to the main battery plus it had a backup power source which was very difficult to get at, so there was no way in hell someone could stand around long enough to find the power source without going deaf.

That's very smart...in my previous car I had an additional battery in the trunk so if the thieves disconnected the battery under the hood, I still had power going to it Always a good idea IMO to have a backup source for power. My friend had a Charger and his is actually a really small battery right behind the bumper. Basically the bumper needs to come off in order to disconnect it.

That's a sick idea!! fck these bum thieves in NYC.. they'll take anything they want. They broke into my winter beater that my dad drives because he still lives in nyc and they stole my 7inch flipout in dash. Someone create a alarm train horn kit for our G's now!!!!!

Christ all i asked is if anyone had them in a G and if so do they have pics of the setup. I know all the consequences of the horns. If I wanted opinions i would've asked. No im not 16. You have to be 17 to get a license in NY. If i wanted to get berated i would've posted elsewhere. It's simple, if you don't have the horns, then don't reply and waste valuable bandwidth. The setup thats in all those youtube vids is ridiculous. It's actually 2 train horn kits blasting at the same time. That is not necessary.
