Clicking noise on hard acceleration

12,500 miles on 2008 G37S, clicking sound on hard acceleration driver side in dash. Stops when you let up, almost sounds like the click of a relay. Took it to dealer they said it is silicon in the heater core which broke loose, they flushed system, may have temporally went away but is back. Did the search here, does not seem to be the expansion of heated metal, or y pipe. Any suggestion ? Has any one heard the silicon story ? Also had the clunking noise in the engine, dealer did an ester oil change and flash. That noise went away, but now a 125.00 $ oil change !

Last TSB on the list. Print it out and take it to your dealer.

So yeah, mine seems to do the same thing. Clicking from under dash or possibly the kick panel. So annoying and embarrassing. Did you figure this out? My dealer said they didn't hear anything when I took it in, of course.

I don't think this is the rear axle issue, as my car seems to have that as well. The response to your post said "last tsb on the list" but it's been a long time since this post so now I don't know which tsb he was referring to.

I have this same problem. It clicks feriously when I am gettin' on it. Kind of annoying, but I don't pay it attention anymore.

TSB for it tho? May have dealer check it out.

For what these cars cost I can't ignore it

It's one of those mystery problems, the dealer drives it and has no idea what I'm talking about.

If I can't find an answer here, I'll take the tech for a ride myself and it can stay there until they figure it out.

There's seriously a TSB for flushing the coolant which fixes a clicking noise? Now I really have to see this :P

Thought I'd finally give an update on my experience with this. I took my 08 coupe in and they did the backflush and I was very happy with the noise gone, until about three weeks passed. The noise came back worse than ever.

I took it back and complained...hey, I've had this Infiniti (Nissan) in for warranty almost as often as my last Jaguar. I expected better. So they tell me they are replacing the heater core...well we'll see if that does the trick.

Of course when I asked what's actually causing this to happen, I get the silly service adviser response "Well it's the silicone. It bubbles up when it gets hot. It's in the heater core." Well, thanks, that's fabulous information

I've been on 93 for the month that I've owned the car. Sounds like a relay or something electrical. Getting really annoying

I just noticed this clicking that sounds like its coming from the lower part of the dash left of the steering wheel. It sounds to me like something electrical like a relay, my first thought was it was an indication of the traction control working, but I hear it when I know I'm not accelerating hard enough to break traction.
