I just got my '09 g37 with premium,sport,navi packages and i heard that the '09 models were slower than the '08. Is this true??

Drive both years and you tell me what you think. I already know the answer.

 

I have owned both and also felt like my 2008 pulled harder. I don't think it actually did though. My 2008 was a 5AT and my 2009 is a 6MT. I think the 5AT made the car feel a little faster.

So I guess they should be the same but I do think my 2008 felt a little faster. Could also have been because it was my first G and therefore felt REALLY fast and after I got the 2009, I was already use to the power so it "seemed" slower.... who knows.

i have owned both, 2008 5AT and 2009 7AT.. in take off.. its waaay better than the 2008, but in rolling.. same power

but if your talking about 2008 vs 2009 with 6mt.. i have no idia

 

The gearing is more aggressive on paper for the 09's but the 08 pulls harder and is faster. If anyone tells you different, they didn't test drive an 08 automatic and an 09 automatic back to back.

 

ive owned both the 08 5AT and the 09 7AT.... 09 is noticably quicker off the line.... and on the roll it feels the same (just as jjn07 said)

 

Truth is the '08 is the quickest!!! Also has bigger brakes and a more aggressive exhaust note.

You have to drive both and decide for yourself. Don't take anybodies word over the internet. Decide for yourself.

 

Why does it matter anyways? Any difference between them is minimal, its not like your going to give your car back and go buy an 08 just cuz its slightly faster. Just enjoy the car, who cares about little things like that.
