Just dented my new car, how can I fix this and how much will it cost

****. I just got my new 09G37 less than a week ago, never have ****ed up any cars I've had and just dented the **** out of it. First off I'm angry as hell, but I need to know how to fix this and how much it will cost. I was backing out of a chipotle lot looking behind me and I didn't even feel my front bumper touch this car until my friend stopped me and said, you hit that car. The other car just got some paint damage but my car got this HUGE dent. Can I take this to a normal body shop and get it fixed. I know the 09's have that special coat on the paint which is supposed to heal small scratches, if i get it done at a body shop will i still get this coat. Also can this be fixed or do i have to change the whole section, and around how much do you think it will cost? Thanks and this really sucks.
Please look at these pictures, I need you help. http://img517.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=p5070085.jpg

AND also if you know any good or legit body shops let me know. I live in Los Angeles, CA.

ouch... good luck man
I got a small dent in the bottom of my front bumper but I was able to reach in and pop it out by hand. Paint is cracked but not too noticeable
Is the 09 paint available at body shops?

more than likely you're gonna have to replace the fender. there's no way to dent pull and bondo back into original shape. sorry for your mishap and good luck repairing it. probably will cost anywhere from $300-$700

Check the Paintless Dent Repair places in your area and send them pics to get an estimate; they place I went to with my WRX had pics of them pulling MASSIVE dents out of a bunch of cars, costing anywhere between 250-500. If you can avoid a re-paint do it as it's always hard to get an exact match..

i can GUARANTEE you that fender needs to be replaced...i use to work in a bodyshop....secondly, i don't know ANY bodyshop in my area where they carry this self healing paint...since infiniti is the only manufacturer using this sort of paint...no one wants to carry it cause it's too much overhead....i'm sure they can order it in from nissan/infiniti, but it's gonna cost u quite a bit cause the paint is special ordered...and probably crazy procedures to get the self healing technology correct....what's most likely gonna happen is that the bodyshop will just get u a new fender and paint it with normal non-healing paint....fender will probably cost u around 250-300? plus paint and labour to re & re...so another 200-300 depending where u go...i'd say ur looking anywhere between 5-700

That fender is FUBAR. You're gonna need a new one plus paint.

go by insurance if you want to do it the right way. Claim it under comprehensive. Now I don't know how much deductible u got which might be a problem..

This is VERY incorrect. PPG paints (one of the largest automotive paint manufacturers in the world) carries self-healing clearcoat. The PAINT isn't self-healing, it's the clear coat. (http://corporateportal.ppg.com/PPG/F...M_Coatings.htm). So, no, this technology is not Infiniti exclusive, and it's been around for years, 2002 according to PPG's site.
