With any luck after some negotiating on Monday with a certain company I shouldn't have to deal with wondering if my G37 is "beastly" or not for too much longer. Because the talk right now is that over summer my G37 is going on vacation for a short while, and when I get her back, she'll no longer be a G37. More like a G70... I think if this *LS7 swap* on my car goes through it will be undeniably beastly by the time I get it back, by my definition and everyone else's too. But we'll see how it goes.... Sorry for jacking this thread to give my little teaser, I was just getting tired of reading arguments over flat torque curves and when the power really hits and butt dyno vs. instrument tested etc etc...

That would be a "Beast" by my standards.

Look at what I done started. One word leads to war; one sentence will lead to slaughter; one paragraph will be genocide...

What I'm saying is, the car does not seem to have much power under 5000 rpm. 5000 rpm and up, the car is very responsive (pulls hard, fast, quick, strong). The "increased horsepower at 5000rpm vs lower rpms", is exactly what my arguement was. That and the fact the car doesn't have much torque. If the car had more torque, there wouldn't be a sudden surge in power at 5000 rpm.
The wording is kinda confusing.

Basically, it comes down to more hp lets the engine rev harder, so as the RPMs climb higher, they climb faster. It's like a snowball effect. The bigger the snowball, the faster it rolls, and the bigger it gets, which makes it roll faster, which makes it even bigger, which makes it roll even faster, etc.

Most cars tend top have a significant torque drop as they rev high (335 is a prime example). So they don't seem to gain pull as they rev.

Dude, maybe that's why I kept hearing a weird noise coming from the car that was originally heard by another member of this forum (cant remember which member?). Kept hearing kill! Kill! Kill! but after I turned the car off, I kept hearing it, so it must be something else..... lol

It's no Viper but it's more than fast enough to land me in a few different kinds of trouble.
