Dont like silver or blue. Didnt want black again (my G35) due to pain of keeping it clean. So it was either white or red. Decided on red because there are tons of white ones

My first choice with my G35 was Caribbean Blue, impossible to find and discontinued right before I went to buy so they were marked up like crazy. Was stick with Diamond Graphite but I grew to like that color a lot considering it was the most popular color so everyone had the same G as me.

This time around, Athens was also hard to locate but according to my gf Slate wasn't as "loud" and it's a great color, not to mention is stays clean.

Every car that I have ever owned has been black, except for the last one, which was a dull silver and I hated it. That is why I went back to black and will never have another silver one in my life.

Because it's an awesome-looking color. I didn't want a black or a white car and all the shades of silver were just too bland. Blue Slate was tempting but I didn't like how bland it looked in any weather other than sunny skies. And now that I have it, the rareness of AB is excellent. I've only seen one AB other than mine, ever (in person). Red, well, I just can't own a red car.

Coming from a yellow car, I picked white because I wanted a lil more understated with a very classy elegant feel to it. The contrast of the IP with the stone interior was perfect for me.

i really believe black looks the best when it's cleaned. all the other colors look good too, but black is just black. after you detail, it's so rewarding because it just looks so damn good

+1 on elite's post about black cars

I don’t understand all this chatter about what is really a personal choice. Perhaps we should look into it further. In a recent Berkeley study of G37 coupe owners, personal traits by car color turned up the following:

Liquid Platinum—Likely to be sentenced to jail by the age of 30

Athens Blue—Never grew up, watches Brady Bunch reruns

Blue Slate—Confused, thought they were buying Athens Blue

Moonlight White—Chick color. If a Californian, has “girly man” tendencies

Platinum Graphite—Can’t make up his/her mind about anything, also leaves the toilet seat up

Vibrant Red—Known to be closet communists

Black Obsidian—Tries to gain acceptance, they choose this color instead of getting tattoos

Amethyst Graphite—Usually mean to dogs, doesn’t use deodorant

Any truth in this around here?
