i totally understand your point of view, but i cant justify a car payment over 600 a month, i already have a mortgage etc etc.....can i afford it? sure.....can i justify it? no

the pictures of this car have the navigation right on it, are you sure it doesnt include navi?

if the calipers are the only thing scraped i can replace them for cheap
they already fixed the window, the only reason they put aftermarket tires/wheels on it instead of OEM is because the dealership told them 3-4 week turnaround, and the guy wants to get rid of it

but id rather buy yours for 1800 then the guy on ebay so let me know

You make valid points on everything except the calipers. The brake kit on the Sport model is anything but cheap! It'll be significantly cheaper to have them repainted or powdercoated.

Hey, I totally understand, If you want my rims you got my email address already and my cell is 215 519 5471, rims are in brand new condition. Like I said, they are not stolen, just my new car take offs, I got 20s on my car. Wish you luck on your new car, but yeah, the calipers, alot cheaper to repaint them then to replace, they are indeed pretty expensive. I feel you, I have a mortgage too and another car payment, Thats why im still debating if I should sell this car or not, My payment will skyrocket with the IsF lol

well i went to check out the car....the calipers are scratched but in no way needing to be replaced, paint should do the trick. the underbody was looked over and no sign of any damage underneath. The only damage was the drivers side door. The drivers side door was like off the track a little bit i guess from the thieves trying to break in.

The dealer said they would fix the door and paint the calipers. The aftermarket rims they put on there actually arent that bad and the tires are brand new so i can always sell them.

I dont know, still dont feel 100% confident yet because i didnt get to test drive it b/c they still didnt clean the glass out etc

I think the head bashing is because of a number of things. I'm not trying to be rude here, just trying to give you some insight into our frustrations while we're trying to help you out. You're trying buy an Infiniti that was seriously damaged, and we have all owned, worked on, repaired, modified, and spent a lot of money on our own cars so we know how difficult/expensive it can be to repair certain things.

1.) Car doors have hinges, not tracks, so if the door isn't closing properly then an integral part of the hinge is bent/broken; which is generally not an easy fix. On top of that, it's not going to be properly repaired by an Infiniti dealership, but rather by a BMW dealership, which will void the warranty for the entire door assembly. How do you know the BMW technicians have any clue how the assembly is supposed to be fixed? If anything was repaired improperly and breaks down the road, Infiniti will rape you on the repair costs because it wasn't done right the first time.

2.) The dealership is going to paint the calipers for you? I believe they're powdercoated, so unless the paint repair is done really well it's gonna look like crap.

3.) The dealership threw aftermarket wheels on the car in an effort to offload it as soon as possible instead of getting the most money out of it. That tells you right there where the dealership's priorities are, and in most of our opinions, they're in the wrong place.

4.) You're telling me that this car has been sitting on the dealership's lot for almost an entire week now and they STILL haven't vacuumed the broken glass out of it?!?! What kind of lazy-*** dealership is this? If they can't even get someone out there to vacuum up the glass, how long do you think it took them to replace the window? How careful were they with that repair if they damaged the calipers replacing the wheels?

Overall, we're all incredulous as to how any dealership could allow this to happen, and then make so many mistakes in remedying the situation. There is a proper way to restore a damaged car to it's original quality, and this dealership did not do it. This car may have low mileage and look nice, but it's been to hell-and-back with this dealership. I'm not telling you not to buy it, I'm just saying that this car definitely has not been babied in it's short lifetime. Like many things in life, when new cars get rode hard and put away wet, they usually end showing the effects a few years later.

DDS, Thank you! You can lead a horse to water but it still may drown.

Demarco, We have all tried to help to steer you down the right road and you continue to make a left turn into the fricken wall. At this point I say do what ever it is that you think is right. Good luck, I have a stinking feeling you are going to need it!

I was on the fence as far as my answer, however the door thing just helped me vote - NO GO!!!

I negotiated my Non-Nav, Sport, Premium, Spoiler, for $37.5 brand new (sticker was $42,400. I got the 2008 in 12/08), which i thought was decent. For a used, you should be able to go way lower and still get a decent car with no problems. Why not try a new car and see what you can get, at least you would be the first owner. Try leasing also, should be able to get low $400's with zero down, just taxes and fees, which is just under $3k.

It's like you telling the train engineer that the bridge is out ahead. He nods his head "yes" in response, but keeps the train going straight ahead regardless of what he's told.

man, your just NOT seeing the big picture here. Sorry to be so blunt, but it seems (and I may be wrong) that you don't have that much experience in cars.

Once a car is damaged and it has to be repaired it is never the same - never, no matter how good the repair, you can always find evidence if you look close enough and what you are willing to do it seems it buy a car that has been damaged, repaired by "who knows" and by "what knows" standards, to have non OEM wheels that you didn't pick, and to always have the nagging feeling in the back of your head that maybe there are other things you didn't see or get reraired properly. On top of that the value of you car on resale may not be covered by the "deal" you think your getting by the few thousand dollars your saving, not to mention the future warranty issues you may face ----- and you wonder why we are "caught up"

Spend the extra few grand in the long run you will thank us.
