oil on wheels

Hey guys,
Was washing the car tonight, and noticed some drops of oil on my right front rim spokes (not the left or the rear rims). I know it was oil because the only way I could get it off was rubbing it with my hands; wouldn't dissolve in water. It doesn't look like it was just dripping on, but rather was likely deposited while driving, since the oil was more streaks than round spots.

Normal/not normal? Should I be worried?

It's a 2 month old 2009 G37x coupe.

Thanks.

Have your dealer check it. Seems like an odd place to get oil deposits.

Better safe than sorry though.

Ya I'm thinking brake dust. It sometimes looks like black spots or oil deposits. But I would get it checked if you feel differently.

Brake fluid sounds more likely than oil to get on your wheels. So I take it your brakes feel fine? I'd take it to your dealer anyways, just to be safe

Thx all. I think it's brake dust. Last night when the wheel was wet, I think the dust congealed and looked oily on my hands. But today when it's dry, it brushed off nicely, and didn't look oily.

Here's a second question though (sorry if they seem kinda dumb), but while I was down there, I noticed that there was this orangish stuff on all 4 brake discs (where the pads contact). I'm not sure if it's rust (but so soon, and on all 4?), because when I scraped some of it, sometimes orange stuff would flake off, so it looks like it's dried up fluid of some kind. The dried up orange stuff was vertical, so it dripped on there while the disc was not rotating. And most of it was at the very top of the disc, but other than the wheel arch, there's nothing above the disc.... Am I being paranoid here??? Any guesses as to what this stuff is???
