Problemm!!

I was in a s*** load of traffic, and somehow the car just stalled out... the next second i knew i was giving the car the gas and nothing was reaching the engine or something, idkk... i was about to get on the highway in a huge intersection and it was a huge problem... so the car never got over 2000 rpms and it made no sense at all... i tried driving and it just wouldnt go... after awhile a cop came up and put a spot light on me and then i got out of my car to go over to talk to him... i turned the car off for a little and then magically it started and the car was giving me the full rpm range.. i drove off and the car now says that i need to go to get the engine serviced.. so i went to the dealership and of course its closed.... ne ways ive ne one could tell me what went wrong, please just let me know.. i was freaked out of my mind

rev limited. if your in neutral or have clutch in and you rev it to much it will put a safety on it.

i think the 5 at's have the same concept, if your either in P(Parking) or N(Neutral) and stay at 4000 revs the car will purposely limit you to only 2000 revs or lower so there's no accidental launch that may hurt the tranny.

service light = dealership visit. Let them handle it. No need to spend all that money and have to worry about ur car. Get ur loaner and be on ur way!!!!!

your problem's definitely related to the SES. With these newer cars it's hard to tell - could be a whole bunch of electronics-related things on the car. Too many gizmos!

I stalled mine once at a light and after restarting it sputtered and refused to reve past 2k rpm. I pulled over as soon as I could and turned it off, waited a few seconds and restarted and everything was fine....
