Greetings

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum and hopefully a new coupe owner (not until April). I was wondering what's the best deal has anyone seen for 09 coupe w/ sport, navi, prem, 7/AT. Also, are they discounting the 08 coupes? Any noticeable difference between the 08 and 09 coupe?

Welcome .

I know you could probably get an 08 under invoice. The only main difference is the 5AT to the new 7AT. Unless you also consider them changing the seat heater control to ***** instead of buttons a huge change.

Also the aluminum door trim in the '09 is the Washi aluminum which is much better than the '08's trim which rumor has it gets scratched to hell in the first 32 mins of ownership. The '09 also has the "scratch shield" paint to help heal the clearcoat from minor swirls/scratches. I've yet to see it in action. Other than that, nothing else major new. If you are ok with the '08 5AT and can get a steal....DO IT.

If you can find an 08 with the color/options you want - you will get a MUCH better deal. Infiniti is trying real hard to get these off the lots.

The 7AT is about the only thing worth getting an 09 for. You'll like it better than the 5AT for obvious reasons, but performance wise there isn't really a difference. Just have to consider whether it's worth the extra few K for the updated tranny.

Check the Buying and Leasing forum, there's a wealth of information on there that will answer any buying questions you may have.

+1. If it were me, I'd be looking for an 08 as well unless you are set on 09 with 7AT.
