lol...well, I negotiated them down to about $55,500 (included all taxes, paint protection, rust protection, navi). It was a lot cheaper than other places. I also compared dealer invoice pricing vs. msrp to see just how much over invoice I actually paid. They hardly made money on me...which is something I don't mind at all ; )
As long as the swirls have not PENETRATED the clear coat, it will heal.
Take a blowdryer to your hood, and it shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes to make a really noticeable difference.
He's only had his car for 10 days, so i'm sure it hasn't worn down to the paint yet...and yes, usually swirl marks are only noticed because there are scratches on the clear coat....if the paint itself was scratched, u wouldn't see the swirls, but rather see a faded worn out spot...or worse, u'll see metal
Well, I live in a condo with underground parking and it was under that lighting where I noticed the swirls. I was pretty pissed off about it considering I just got the damn thing. I'll just have to do the blow dryer method and take up everyone on their advice of taking care of it myself. I'm gonna get it professionally detailed 2-3x a years as well just to be safe.

bad idea, especially if your going to get it power polished...everytime someone power polishes the paint, it's pretty much taking a layer off the clear coat, and eventually u won't have any clear coat left...just go out and pick up some swirl remover hand polish, or some sort of good polishing compound and wax your car once a season....if your hardcore, u can wax it every weekend
edit: actually, u should probably go to infiniti and ask if this new type of clear is safe with store bought products....it should be, but u should always confirm...
Any power buffing/orbital/PC type equipment will destroy the clear coat.
The clear coat is heat-activated, any buffing makes the paint VERY hot, effectively reverting the self-healing clear coat back to a regular clear coat.
Will do. I was only asking because I wanted to maximise on my opportunity to get the dealership to fix it. I spent $57,000 (CAD) on this thing and paid for it in full. Just looking to make an informed decision.
