well it's not 100% needed but i can see how it could save ur life

say ur coming out into a busy street with cars flying around 50+mph and u just cant see, that cam would help u out. i know i can think of countless times where im just edgeing the front of the car out slowly just enough so i can see, and in retrospect the front end of the car coulda been toast if someone were to slam into it, not to mention myself

I don't see the point in your argument.

Is it absolutely necessary? No..would it make things easier, safer and more convenient? Yes..

Based on your logic there are many things we don't need in our car. LETS SEE!

Back up camera...I've driven for 6 years before and I parked fine, backed up fine without it...

NAV.... I can just use mapquest or something called a map?

Traction control... I can drive safely without it..why do we need it?

Limited slip differential... I can drive without it... why do we need it?

Radio controls on the driving wheel... just press the radio itself...

HID head lights....halogen never failed me!

Auto dimming rear view mirror... just tint your windows or wear sun glasses or tilt your mirror!

Keyless entry and start up... conventional keys work just fine, infact we dont need batteries!

The list goes on.....

What? My arugment is someone said that we need it in the US and someone else said not really because the purpose of this camera in Japan is needed for their blind intersections which are very common, whereas in the US we have ordinances that require a 25' sight triangle at all right of way intersections.

So since the cameras are meant specifically for the blind intersections that are found in Japan, what would be the point of needing them over here. I see what you mean about the other convienent amenites that we have and have no need for.

The cameras are specifically meant to solve a problem that they have in a different country that does not apply to us here.

That FOB will probably run us in the $300 range if not more. It does look sexy though...

Does anyone know what the key fob actually does? Will it be compatible with NA spec cars?
