Angry Ahh I Hate Snow!

I dont have the luxury of having a garage, nor having a winter car..The G is pretty much my daily driver. However the other day we got our fist accumulation of snow and I go out to clean the car just before class, while I was brushing off the snow I noticed that there were some black marks along with scratches where I was brushing, I looked at the brush I was using (same one i used for my g35) and it seemed that the scratches came from that! I almost lost it then, I cant believe how soft this paint is and how easy it is to scratch it up! My only fear now is that I hope these scratches along with the black marks come off when I clay it in the spring. That and any of you people recommend a decent snow brush with soft soft brushes on it? Now Im too paranoid to use this one..or any of them

Well why would you brush the paint?
Get the snow and ice off the windows then let the car run for like 20min. It will heat up and the snow will melt off

Although mine is in a garage most of the time, when it does accumulate snow, I brush it off but leave a thin layer of snow... that is, I don't actually brush down to the paint but leave, say, a 1/2 inch buffer... no scratches.

But I agree, soft paint... sorry to hear this but I would bet it will buff out.

I've tried that but the snow turns to ice which is worse than using a brush on the paint.

i don't put anything with bristles on my paint. If it is piled up high I woul djust take the top layers off but not go down to the pain.

At any rate whenever there is even the threat of snow I am breaking out the Pathfinder 4WD

That's what I do ... a thin layer so I don't blind someone behind me when the snow blows off my car. But I try my best to lightly brush off the snow from the roof such that I don't cover the rear window either ...

If your water is still on outside, try to melt the snow off from now on.
