First time, 6MT snow day
OMG
I never driven on snow. today I did first time;
It was very hard. don't have good experience with snow weather.
any tip?? you guys have?
Doesn't g37 have LSD? It slips and turns right only when I loses control.

actually, both wheels spin and the there is no friction to keep the back end of the car where it is. it probably slips to the right because most roads are made convex to drain water. there is also some physics involed with torsional force and the rotation of the engine and transmission i relation to the weight in the front of the car and lack of weight in the rear. anyway, all this combined with the broad surface area of the stock tires gives you no traction in the snow. i don't know if any members here have ever had an econobox with skinny tires. those suckers plow through the snow like champs.

anyway I don't like the stock wheel.
I am planning 20s and I am not going to drive it winter season,
but what so ever I did it today.

when i had my evo...my first winter i could not control the car in the snow (had stock performance summer tires). It was all over the place and it would not want to stop lol
no one would believe me...there all like "what you talking about its AWD and even has a snow-setting".
My moms accord coupe with stock tires drove amazing compared to the evo in the snow. I told them its not about having the AWD or all that good stuff, if you can't get the traction to the ground then the AWD isn't gonna matter. Its all about having a good set of winter tires.
the next winter i got set of blizzaks and it was a different beast.
Come on guys!! I drove my 6MT home on Tuesday, and there was an inch of snow over top of 1/4" of skating-rink style ice. I think I had solid traction for at least 5 minutes total during my 30 minute commute, and I LOVED it!! Sure, when the light turned green my wheels moved but my car didn't. And when I turned, my wheels did but my car didn't. But that's what makes it fun; the unpredictability!!
PS: Driving my 4Runner for the rest of the winter, or at least until the sheet of glaze ice melts off of the everything...
