7AT is better than the 5AT I have had both. If going for a 6MT getthe 08 for the better price. but if AT is what you want get the 09.

ya a little faster off the line. BUt you will see a big differance on the hiway 120 km/hr 2500rpm in the 7 speed and 3200 in the 5 speed so you do the math lol

I asked all these same questions a couple weeks ago.
https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-cou...ed-advice.html

We test drove a lot of different things including an 08 G37 and an 09 G37. We ended up getting an 08. I did not like the 7 speed auto vs the 5 speed. Yes the 7 speed will get better gas milage but it seemed to take away from the driving experience. It's also heavier. Newer technology is not alway better technology. The jury is still out on the 7 speed.

Two more factors that led us to the 08 were the available financing and the new self healing paint on the 09's. I did not want the self healing paint.

I have to run at the moment but if you have any specific questions, hit me up. I'll even give you my phone number if you want to talk in person.

Put it as this... The 2009 7AT is well worth it than the 2008 5AT, 2009 also has the awd model. However if your going for a manual, the 2008 is a way better deal as there is not much difference except for scratch shield paint and some minor stuff. But if you got the dough and really want an updated new car get the 09 MT.

Probable con: dealer and importer quality. Acura, generally, is not as picky as Infiniti respecting warranty coverage. Also, generally, Acura dealers take care of their customers better than Infiniti dealers (mostly because Honda/Acura places a greater importance on customer care than Nissan/Infiniti).

This may not be a big deal if you had a bad Acura dealer and your Infiniti dealer is a good one. If your Acura dealer was great and your Infiniti dealer turns out to be bad, this could be a sizeable negative concerning your satisfaction with the G.

The most important thing is G37 vs. ... what?

Sum up your options then compare.. for example, some here may say the G37 is slow, but if you compare it to an A5, the A5 is a snail.
