Glad you got your moolah back. How are you confused which rims you are going to get? Not the same ones. I am too picky so I like very few anyways.

So here's what happened. My insurance cut me a check for the cost of the OEM tires plus the cost of refurb OEM rims. That's right, if refurbs are available, they go with that. Otherwise, you get reimbursed for the cost of OEM new. So basically I got $300 for each rim and $280 for each tire. As for the aftermarket rims, your insurance will cover up to $500 of custom equipment (you need to provide a receipt) unless you adjust your premium to include/cover the aftermarket stuff. So to summarize, I ended up with $1,200 (rims) + $1,120 (tires) + $500 (custom equipment) = $2,820. Not bad since I only paid $2,000 for the rims and tires. But the motto of the story is, if your aftermarket rims/tires cost more than the OEM ones, notify your insurance so they can adjust your premium to include them. You'll only pay a few dollars more per year but your expensive investment will be covered. I'm still shopping for new rims and can't make up my mind.
nice! time to go shopping

Sorry to see this happened but glad that you got paid out.

I'm curious as to what happened next. You mentioned a team of folks came out to inspect damage.

Considering we only have 1 spare tire/wheel where do the other 3 come from until your replacement set arrives. Surely the car doesn't just sit on bricks on until the real deal is delivered.

I hope I never have to experience this.

What impact will it make on your premiums?

don't think it will affect anything.

only times ur premium will be affected is when u get a ticket (demerit point on your record) or when ure involved in an accident where ure at fault.

like say u have comprehensive coverage and someone vandalized ur car u only pay the deductible to get it fixed.. ur premium wont get affected whatsoever

EZ, where are you located? Take a look at this. Very suspicious.

btw, I love those wheels, and I'm very surprised at how inexpensive they are.
