Wow. Like I said in another post, Porsche sales for September were off 45%. Seems the "luxury" car market is loosing some luster.

CYTD is an acronym for Calendar Year to Date. Perhaps that first CYTD is misleading because it really is just Monthly Sales for the listed month. At any rate the first number is the total monthly sales for 2008, the second is the 2007 monthly sales for that month for the vehicle listed, and the next number is the percent change. The second group if three numbers is the same for YTD.

Basically it's stating that you'll get orphan data if you don't join the .pdxc and .pbds primary keys. The .gege rules won't generate any transactions, the .ltlt triggers will skip the main table, and your .requart files will bomb on the batch queue.

Good luck.

basically what it says is that sales are off month over month in September as is expected every year, but they're off a little more than normal. The year over year numbers look bad for the sedan because it was all-new for 2007, so there was a spike in sales that doesn't exist this year; this same effect makes the coupe sales look particularly bad because 9/07 was the first full month of wide G37 coupe availability, so sales went up last September rather than down, and of course this year they went down as they usually do.

if I owned an Infiniti store, I'd be a lot more worried about the bailout plan than these numbers, especially knowing that my volume model (the G37 sedan) is about to receive a big power bump, and that I'll also have a couple more models to fill niches in the next year (G37x coupe, G37 vert).

Being from one of the top 5 dealers in the country, it's dependent where in the country these vehicles will be targeted. I know I've been waiting for a G37x coupe b/c we have been losing sales to BMW and Audi A5 coupes.

hey Kenny,

I'm sure that the G37x coupe will be a big hit in the Northeast (I grew up in Buffalo, so I can sympathize with your buyers). Presumably you guys sell a higher percentage of x sedans than the average dealership as well. Can you release those numbers? I'd be interested to know what your mix is vs. the national mix.
