You guys have a lot of good comments, mine just seem to go a little something like:

Old man in hat: "What kind of car is that?"
Me: "G37"
Old man in hat: "Who makes that?"
Me: "Infiniti"
Old man in hat: "What is Infiniti?"
Me: "Nissan"
Old man in hat: "Oh... nice car."
Me: "Thanks"

 

I don't get any heads turned driving in the city.
BMW, Audi, etc are too common here.

a GT-R or the $100k+ cars might get some looks.

 

Let's see if I can recall a few...

1. Pulled up in a street light, guy next to me lowers his window and asks me to lower mine. I'm like, "is this guy gonna ask me directions?"

He said, "Nice car man.. is that stick?"

I said, "Yeah..."

He said, "Nice man... niiice."

2. I was headed to ****'s Sporting Goods store to get a pair of shoes with my fiance. I dropped her off the main entrance and I proceeded to park the car. I parked, got out and began to walk to the entrance. A mature gentleman stopped me and asked me how did I like my car. I told him I liked it plenty and we proceeded to talk about cars until my fiance finished shopping.

I got in trouble that day... lol!

3. My boss tells me that he believes I'm getting 2 paychecks because I shouldn't be driving a sick car like that. I'm an ER resident, he's the ER attending/program director. LOL!

4. I was driving down the road when I spotted high school kids in an SUV... the windows were lowered and they were asking me to push the car faster. The car had just come out so it was one of the first ones they saw. I gunned it and they were giving me the thumbs up from the rearview mirror!

5. Got a thumbs up from a few 350z drivers.

6. Got a beep from an incoming G37 driver while at the mall.

Too many to count and recount! LOL...

 

Got my first one today (car is 4 weeks old) ....
At lunchtime I got in the car and was looking up something on the Blackberry when there was a knock on my passenger window. It was the guy that has been parking next to me since I got the car (I park away from the "crowd"), I rolled the window down and he said he loves my car and been admiring it everyday since I got it. Of course I said thanks.

 

One of the (incredibly hot) girls in my office took one look and exclaimed, "Now THAT is a man's car!".

That made me smile...

Haven't really gotten alot of compliments from people other then family members till earlier this week I think. So I was leaving from the mall and was stopped at a red light. The light to make a turn into the malls turns green, and a hot chick driving I think a Mazda 3 makes eye contacts with me. So we have a stare down, the whole time she was making her turn our eye were locked. Then when she finally drove pass by me, when our driver side windows were lined up she gave me a big smile and the hair flip.

What do you guys think? I'm not really one that's too good with the ladies but I'm pretty sure she was interested in something right LOL? I wish I wasn't in a rush that day or else I would have busted a U turn and looked for her whire she was parking.

 

not too sure if it's considered a compliment. A couple high school kids in a civic or something were stopped next to me at a light. They didn't notice I was in the left turn lane so they revved, and I revved back. The light changed and i just laughed...i saw the cop hiding on the other side of the intersection. I took my turn slow just in time to see them getting pulled over.

 

I was at the gym the other night and some random guy came up to me and started asking if i liked the 37. I said i loved it more than my previously owned 335i. The guy then precedes to ask me if theres an unwritten law saying teens that live in orange county always have to have bad as rides?

 

So today on the way home with the top down and I'm at a stop light waiting to turn. A guy in the next lane in a red pickup (probably a ford or chevy) says " I'll trade ya". I say "hahaha, good one! Thanks, that's ok". We have a good laugh and it's all good.

 

When i was driving around looking for a place to take pictures I drove past a soccer field. Seemed like a casual game...the game stopped and everyone starred as I drove by. I was laughing so hard, the game started back up after I got further down the road. Thought that was a pretty good compliment.

 

I've got Teen Sons... They had some friends over and I had just cleaned it
and it was in the driveway... Boys came out and the 19yr old said.

OMG... That is Sex On Wheels right there...

I have had my car for 6 months and I bet I have had 6 people give me a compliment on it. The looks are stock except for my tint. It is pretty cool since in Dallas, there are all sorts of way more expensive cars around.

 

Yesterday is one crap*** compliment;
My friend and I was sitting in my car waiting for my friend to make us smoothie since she works there..

Then these 4 arab guys get out their g35, 15' away from my car JDM parked.

Arab 1; "is that **** a g37-S?"
Arab 2; "f***" no it ain't"
Arab 3; is that **** stick shift?
Arab 2; "i dont know, but ****s wackk"

Me; hey, just because we beat you guys 5on5 playing basketball at the park before, you don't gotta talk sh**. Just keep on walking to cold stones and eat your damn ice cream.

All Arabs; kept on walking, opened the door, and stood in line.

Best compliment so far.

Passed 3 G's yesterday, gave them the thumbs up & received a nod up back
