TOP G37 Negatives
I have tried this with my coupe numerous times and hitting the button on the door while the key is in the car will not unlock the car on my vehicle. I also tried it on the 09 Altima that I had as a rental the other day with the key in the cup holder- I needed to get something off of the passenger seat, and of course the doors were locked- it didnt do it in that car either. I wonder if there is something wrong with yours.

Also, my freaking driver seat is getting replaced for the 2nd time. First, my seat adjustment button went out all I heard was motor running. Now my lumbar bottom went out and getting replaced again. What crappy seats we have. dhafjaskfhasfd.
My case lol<O

Where I work, there are some speed bumps in the underground parking level which makes me regret that I bought a coupe! They aren’t normal speed bumps, I call them (The hills of destruction) cause no matter how I approach them my car will still get a hit on the belly!<O

Anyways back to the subject, I’d like to add a few problems that I noticed in this sexy azz coupe:<O
</O
<O
</O
1- The car lags for few seconds on full throttle launch.
<O
</O
2- Time lag while shifting gears from 2nd to 1st then accelerating (AT 2008) dunno about the rest.
<O
</O
3- Slow Shifting, it doesn’t give you the feeling of a sport car.
<O
</O
3- Rattling noise from the dashboard.
<O
</O
<O
</O
All in all, I’m really in love with this car even though some options like SAT Radio, Ipod Interface and Voice Command are not available for us. You guys should be grateful

A message to Infiniti (We need more torque and a wider rear wing god damit!)

I think Black Betty's grounding kit may help with the lag.
I laughed at "belly" hahah.

My TOP NEGATIVES about the G37
Seriously though, I don't know of a car available that can satisfy everyone all the time. If your looking for trunk space or rear seat room you won't find it in a 2+2 coupe. The guy who says it's not sporty enough. It's not a pure sports car.
It's a luxo-sport or sport-luxo car.
It's a luxo-sport or sport-luxo car.• Small Trunk: I'm not buying an SUV or my Dad's oversized luxury sedan, and I don't want a large sized car.
• Small Backseat: This is not the "family car", and I will only need a backseat 5% of the time and don't want one that increases the car's dimensions. The 2+2 interior is perfect for me, gives added flexibility for storage (combines with trunk), and accomodates my very occasional 1-2 passengers.
• Car is Heavy: I want the 2+2 design AND the luxury items that add to the car's overall weight. A light car would be missing too many ammenities.
• Limited Head Space: I want a sleek designed low roof, while still accomodating my 6'2" frame comfortably (it does). Tall cars are not sporty.
• Limited Cupholders: Any more than four is excessive, and screams "family car". Don't want my car to look or function like a family car.
• Poor Gas Mileage: Any car that gets more than 19mpg (City) would be too slow for me (the typical economy vs. performance tradeoff).
• Limited Front Seat Width: No fat chicks allowed. (Sorry, it's not my rule, it's the car.) This also solves the front seat's stretched leather problem.
These are my DESIRED top negatives for the G37. If any two of the above are missing, I should give up on my luxury/sport car dreams, and buy an Audi or BMW instead. Thankfully, I found the car of my dreams that has ALL of my top required negatives, the G37 Coupe.

Unfortunately our G’s only come in 1 model which is the G37S Sport 5AT
was longing for a 6MT but there’s nothing I could do.<O

I already have a Stillen G.K installed and apparently it did enhance the shifting a bit but I'm still not satisfied. Shall I try the Black Betty kit or am I only wasting my money and i should stick to what i have? and if you still recommend it, where can I order it from if you dont mind
^I think the 2 kits should be pretty similar, but I'd PM black betty and ask him about the difference to see if it's worth the money. He's had excellent feedback on the kits.

Found this interesting thread and bumping it, but...
anyone try this? results?
and I would add the MusicBox hard drive issue with being unable to load MP3s and the inability to charge my iphone with the infiniti cable
But this is a FINE car, tighter steering than expected and way faster than expected.
Issue 19. Uncomfortable seat belt, digs into your neck
This problem is easily resolved with gentle bending. When in the down position, the seat belt extension arm is curved to match the B-pillar so as to permit access to the rear seat; unfortunately, when level, that curvature positions the seat belt into the driver's neck.
Solution:
1. Open the door.
2. Position the seat belt extension arm horizontally level (should click into place).
3. Firmly grab the middle of the seat belt extension arm and gently bend the arm towards the outside of the car. I believe there is a metal liner inside the arm and that seems to keep the adjustment in place.
Bravo! This seat belt positioning is the best I have experienced.
The trade-off: When letting rear passengers in, you’ll have to push the arm slightly inward for it to clear the B-pillar.

I think this thread foreshadow's the 'wrong' things, and not the things that were overlooked or beyond.
First of all, the car isn't built in this country. You are driving a LEGIMATE import.
The car was built for JAPANESE people. Its not going to fit your 6 foot frame comfortably. That's why the seats go into the back seat, for us fat americans.
Third, The car has PLENTY of room completely packed, with average size adults.
The car weighs a LOT LESS then the new chevy's or dodges, and both of those cars have more blind spots than you can imagine.
Every other thing you guys mention about the seating positioning, and stuff, that is your fault for not making sure your big asses fit in the car. And you should buy an American made car, instead of a fully built Japanese car, that fits little people.
I for one love this car. It is a 'Skyline'. The 08's are smaller, and I love the design of the car. Nothing on the road looks like this car. I mean the tail lights for god sakes, when I turn the lights on, everyone behind me is like 'whoa damn'.
I think you guys needs to build your relationships with your G's a little more. You should spend some money on some detailing products, and have a little 1 on 1 session with the car.
After that, if you still can't get in it, you need to buy Domestic. This car weighs far less then the new domestics made, and the 0-60 in the low 5's, is what I call a Sports Car.
A 350hp FWD car seems a tad bit more powerful then the G37. And a car like that could easily take 99% of drivers on the road.
Stock for Stock, the G37 beats a lot of anything on the road, Audi doesn't get this big of a motor until the A6. MB doesn't come close, and you have to spent 80k+ to get big motors.
19mpg IN the City, and Driving like its stolen?!?!!? COME ON! 31mpg On the interstate?? BE SERIOUS.
People are boasting cars that do 30mpg, AND WE ALREADY OWN ONE!
You guys come over, we will have a few beers, and I'll change all of your minds.
