As I come up on the first anniversary of picking-up my car (Sep 6, 2007), there are still few G37's on the northshore of the New Orleans area. I don't think I have seen more than five other coupes in eleven months.
On the rare occaision that I do see another G37, I am struck with how beautiful these cars really are. I think part of that is you have to see this car moving on the highway among other cars to appreciate the fluid lines and its stance, especially when following one.
I was behind a Platinum Graphite Journey (non S) yesterday afternoon, and just started clicking off different styling cues in my head that I found attractive. I also noticed other drivers staring at the car. I was coming back from a week-long business trip and was in my Tacoma pick-up (never park the G at the airport).
Anyone else feel what I'm saying? Maybe it's because of the rarity around here. I tend to focus on the styling elements that I don't particularly care for, mainly the flat nose and grille. I think the 3/4's view from the rear is the cars best.

Well in LA, I see a G37 coupe about 1-2 times a week. G35 coupes I see about 1-2 a day. That being said, I really appreciate the new lines of the G37. Glad I held off til now picking up a coupe.
The higher displacement engine doesn't hurt either

It's true ... I know people look at my car, even in Toronto. I was there for 2 months solid. I saw a total of 3 "new" G37 models during this time. None were 6MT -- maybe Toronto people don't like shifting in horrible traffic? I had that same apprehension but glad I didn't suck out and get the auto tranny.
Anyway, I always look at the other G37s around ... and try and think of how I look inside mine. LOL. (Sad, but true!) Maybe I need some pals to take vids or pictures so I don't crash one day!

I agree people love this car. The best part is when they speed up to find out what the hell it is (I need to get a new grill so then people can be even more confused, it's actually pretty funny). Debadged FTW
