What the difference?

In the brochure they gave me when I got mine it only said Ivory Pearl. Is Pearl White just something people call it by mistake or was it a slightly different color that was discontinued?

 

there is no such thing as pearl white on the 37.

oh ok so i guess that means the answer is "Yes people must just call it that by mistake," because I have definitely seen it more than once regarding this car.

 

I will say the Infiniti Pearl is way better than Lexus's pearl color. Everytime i see the Lexus in pearl white, i see the purple and pink colors reflecting back, Infiniti's is more white with a silver shimmer as apposed to the girly colors.

 

Agreed. I was never a huge fan of white on cars, but the Infiniti white is definitely a nice one and it does look really good on the G37.

 

my friend has a white/pearl/whatever lexus calls it is350 and under certain light at night it looks kind of ricey.. just because of the blues/purples you can see in it.

anyway. Infiniti discontinued the Ivory Pearl color because its inferior to blue slate.

 

Inferior - you have got to be kidding. The IP is the cleanest - prettiest white I've ever seen on a car - Hence I bought one (G37S) with the graphite interior. The only other color that looks as nice is the Obsidion Black - (only when it is clean) swirls in the paint are a real pain from what I've heard. Glad to hear I will be in more elete company once IP is discontinued in 09'

 

Pearl White (paint code QN0)is what the color is called on my '96 Maxima. KH3 is called Black Obsidian on the G but on my '91 Nissan Hardbody it was called Super Black. The paint code will tell you if it's the same color with a different name.

 

I wonder how different the new moonlight white's gonna be from IP? In the brochure, it looks the same, but of course that most likely isn't all that accurate.

 

lexus has 2 different pearl whites. their starfire pearl is hot. i think the one with the loud pearl is glacier frost or something
