I'm guessing they test drove it before shipping it to the states + transporting miles...

People with 57+?? damn son.

I do remember dealers used to set cars back to zero to get off the test driving/transportation miles saw they made a law stating that the odometer could not be altered because many dealers were probably resettiing miles from test drives and such.

Well, my car is at 15k+ miles and still ok. I got the car at 700+ miles. Felt uncomfortable at the time, but too excited to think about it until the next day. And it was too late. He did give me like a $500 discount for that though.

I test drove a different car. The one I bought still had the vinyl protection on the hood and all the plastic wrap inside.

Since many people have under 7, I am just assuming there are wide variations in the trasnportation process or somewhere else.

They called me when my car came in. It was shipped from Japan to Jacksonville and then to NC. I was in my car 3 hours after it was at the dealer. They had a hard time getting the car ready in time.

I am just curious why there is such variance but I have no clue what type of proces is involved other than transporting the cars.

LOL, you must have taken the last one. There was not a single blue slate 6MT in Jersey when I got mine, they had to bring one in from NY--mine had 94.

Mine had 10 miles?..

i believe each dealer has its own little "route" for the test drive and predelivery inspection and stuff, some routes are a little bit longer than others i guess.

I'm guessing the car got transferred from a different dealership (and they drove it instead of trucking it) or it's a test car. Being that he gave you a discount, I'm going to assume it was a test car. My first car was a test car though and I had NO issues with it at all. Have about 120k on it now and it's still good to go.

Had 8 miles on mine when I got it. I dont think I have the silver sheet but I'll check today.
