BATs overlays installed, need opinions!

Finally got my Bats overlays installed. From far away they look GREAT, BUT upclose I can see small imperfections. The installer said the cut of the overlay was pretty off and he had to modify it to make look semi nice. At first it didnt bother me but now it's starting to eat at me, so tell me what you guys think. Especially other overlay ppl, do you have these issues?

<a href="http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/?action=view&current=DSC_0100.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/DSC_0100.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/?action=view&current=DSC_0101.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/DSC_0101.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

In this pic, you can see that the ends arent aligned.
<a href="http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/?action=view&current=DSC_0102.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/DSC_0102.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The ends are aligned in this pic but the hole cutout for the headlights seem off..
<a href="http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/?action=view&current=DSC_0103.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/DSC_0103.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/?action=view&current=DSC_0104.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/DSC_0104.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/?action=view&current=DSC_0105.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/DSC_0105.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/?action=view&current=DSC_0106.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/DSC_0106.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

You can see in this pic if you look closely the ends dont meet up and theres a SLIGHT strip where my tail light is still exposed.
<a href="http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/?action=view&current=DSC_0107.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/DSC_0107.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/?action=view&current=DSC_0108.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/DSC_0108.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/?action=view&current=DSC_0109.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k63/taktix1/DSC_0109.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

So what do you think? Should I take them off, order another set in hopes that the cut is just right and get someone else to install them? Or am I just being too picky?

It looks great from far away, but if it really bothers you that much, go to another person/shop to re- install it.
Time for roof overlay!

Yeah, maybe I am just being a picky bitch. Do any of you guys have the overlays also? Just want to compare with other people. As far as the roof overlay goes, Im prob not going that route or rear valence. This is it for the overlays. maybe a matte black grill next.

headlight and tail light overlays are a bitch. i've installed a bunch in the past and they suck!!! i installed my friends rear valence and it came out perfect, and i mean dead even on both sides with the exhaust cutouts etc. These are the only things that hold me back from getting headlight and tail light overlays for the 37.

And yeah that'd definitely bother me too with the gaps and misalignment and such.

I say start over again, you don't want to be driving around with that thought in the back of your head that your car doesn't look perfect and the way you want it to. Aside from that, I think it looks fine from far away if that means anything.

I think I'm going to just let it settle for a week and see if it still bothers me. Only thing is, it's impossible to find someone to install these cause everyone says they are a PITA.

hey where can i get those overlays from. Dude they look great on your car in my opinion, but your the one driving it every day so your opinions the only one that really matters. How much are the overlays and the tail light overlays?

Looks fine from normal distance. If you get super close on a lot of things you can see small imperfections. It's about making them look good at a normal viewing area. HA HA HA
