vince if your pops own infintI you should check with him on the spelling.

Not sure who remembers but the 08's came out Aug. 21. I had an 08 model on the 25th of aug as did many of you. So wouldn't surprise me if the 09 was released around 1 year later from release date.

They get the new ones sooner because Guam is closer to Japan.

If I lived on Guam, I'd try to get a Japanese spec model.

The 09 G37 will very likely come with a 7 speed auto. In fact, in Europe, the 09 G37 coupe and sedan (yes, the sedan is also a G37 in Europe) was recently announced with a 7 speed auto:

IMO, it would make sense that the 09 in the US would also have this same transmission as it would not be cost effective to produce the same car with 2 different transmissions.

You're actually right. They go straight from Japan factories down to Guam. We do get our cars here earlier, but we're talking couple of weeks early. Not months.

And no, we can't get Japan spec cars here. This is a US territory so we have USDM cars.

Guam's great man. It's starting to look more like Hawaii, but way hotter.
Haven't had a supertyphoon in 6-7 years and I'm crossing my fingers. Where you in the military when you lived here??

No military. Had a great time there, though. Hear it is like a resort now.

If the G is your choice, I say get it now and enjoy it, I doubt there will be any major changes to the '09. The island is small, I don't know if your going to enjoy the full power of THE G.

Guam's come a long way. More buildings, people, cars, traffic, but still has that island beauty. We actually have a real dragstrip/race park now. Although I would want a close circuit race park.
I think I have no choice but to wait for the '09. Looks like the dealer is not getting anymore '08's in.

The new FX is hitting my showroom at about that time. The 2009 G coupe should be closer to late August.
